Hidden away int he picturesque village of Stanton by Dale sits the Stanhope Arms; a traditional English pub famous for quality cask ales and fine home cooked food, from fresh local produce. We maintain a stylish drinking and eating establishment whilst retaining the traditional pub features of the lounge and upstairs restaurant. A place worth travelling to for all the family. Clearly the quality and choice of food is very important as is the level of service. Our team is committed to delivering on all three counts. The Stanhope is well known for excellent food and this is a reputation we intend to uphold. The beef we sell is well sourced locally from our family butchers in Ripley. The meat is hung for 28 days and the quality is exceptional. The specials board which accompanies the menu has a selection of other home made dishes. We also recognise that value is important to our customers and we have introduced an enlarged range of discounted traditional meals. You may now order 2 meals for and £10 available every day of the week (please check times of service for this menu).

Our new Sunday carvery now gives you the choice of three meats and a selection of seasonal vegetables. Our local brewery, Castle Rock, provides our main selling cask ale which is Harvest Pale and we have introduced a new and extended wine list with a wine of the month. Each table is now provided with a customer satisfaction and comment card.
